Medals for Everyone – and Fantastic Prizes as a Bonus!

A fun-filled day awaits children aged 3 to 12 on Saturday 21 June at Strahov, where the start and finish of the largest amateur cycling race in the Czech Republic, L’Etape Czech Republic by Tour de France, will take place. The Kubík Tour promises a colourful and engaging programme for all preschool and primary school children who come to cheer on their family and friends at the race.

“After the great success of last year’s edition, we’ve prepared a special competition for children directly at Strahov,” says Filip Švaříček, coordinator of the accompanying programme for L’Etape Czech Republic 2025. “L’Etape Village traditionally attracts entire families. The start or finish of a parent, uncle, sibling or grandparent is an exciting moment. To make sure kids don’t get bored while their loved ones are out on the course, we’re offering the chance to take part in the Kubík Tour.”

For all children aged 3 to 12, the Kubík Tour L’Etape Czech Republic 2025 will be available at Strahov on 21 June. Children can look forward to eleven different stages (activity stations). The first task? Find the stations themselves! They’ll be located within the L’Etape Village or a short walk away in the L’Etape Czech Republic 2025 EXPO.

Each child will receive a game card, available at the Info Point. At each station, they’ll need to complete a specific task – ranging from knowledge-based and creative to physical challenges, all tailored to the child’s age.

This year’s eleven stations will involve a visit to each of the event’s partners. What tasks await at the Kubík Tour?

  • Light Hunter (Dr. Witt)

  • 3D Puzzle Challenge (Veolia)

  • Can Toss (Škoda Auto)

  • Draw or name your grandparent (Krása pomoci charity)

  • Paper Maze (GSK)

  • Mini bike repair & service (Cyklistickey)

  • Cycling Hopscotch (Harfa Sport)

  • Trainer Challenge (Rouvy)

  • Road Safety Quiz (Czech Police)

  • Cornhole Game (Cyklostar)

  • Skills Ride (Kubík)

For each completed task, children get a stamp on their game card. Collecting all eleven stamps means they’ve completed the full Kubík Tour and will be awarded a medal and prizes from Kubík, L’Etape Czech Republic, and other event partners. The card can also be entered into a prize draw, held at 4:00 PM on the main stage, where three lucky childrenwill win special prizes!

Additional fun activities will be available at various stations to keep the kids entertained all day – just as fast-paced as the kilometres the riders are clocking on the racecourse. One of the major highlights is the Kubík Kids’ Mini Race at 2:45 PM in the Kubík Bike Park.

Another brilliant way to keep children engaged is the Cheer Banner Workshop, where all creative kids can design signs and posters to cheer on their favourite cyclists as they return to Strahov. The organisers will provide markers, crayons, sprays, and stencils.

The Kubík Tour begins at 8:30 AM on 21 June, and children can join in at any time throughout the day – the final “rider” must complete all eleven stations by 3:00 PM.

Family Ride Fun with Kubík

Children can also enjoy the thrill of being on a bike right at Strahov during the Kubík Family Ride – a non-competitive group ride along a safe, closed route, open to children and their parents or guardians. All participants under the age of 15 must be accompanied by an adult.

The ride is open to anyone who wants to soak up the atmosphere of a big race – from the ceremonial countdown and closed-road course to the joyous finish line moment and well-earned medal. It’s suitable for anyone aged 5 and over who can ride a bicycle or e-bike. Children may also ride in child bike seats or trailers when accompanied by an adult.

The 5.6 km route starts at 10:00 AM and leads from Atletická Street to Ladronka Park, returning via Tomanova and Atletická streets, circling the Strahov stadiums, and finishing on Vaníčkova Street. The route will be secured by escort vehicles and motorbikes throughout the ride.

L’Etape Czech Republic 2025 takes place on 21 June, starting and finishing at Strahov. A rich children’s programmegives families the chance to spend the whole day on the hill above Prague without needing to leave the venue, which will be closed to public traffic.
