Become Part of the L'Etape 2025 Story! Experience One of 16 Fan Points
The unique atmosphere along closed roads is one of the biggest draws of the L'Etape Czech Republic by Tour de France. The Hilly Stage of 2025 promises an unforgettable experience, with a record number of fan points along the route. A total of sixteen fan points will come to life on Saturday, 21st June!
Fans will be cheering on the peloton in greatest numbers in Hostivice, Jeneč, Unhošť, Poteplí, Bratronice, Družec, Žilina, Nový Dům, Městečko, Roztoky near Křivoklát, Sýkořice, Běleč, Chyňava, Železná, Nenačovice, and, of course, at Strahov – the start and finish of the race.
What Are the Main Attractions for Fans Along the Route?
Jeneč will host an exhibition of historic and racing bikes, and the fan point will feature a live broadcast from Czech Television of the L'Etape Czech Republic by Tour de France 2025. In Unhošť, spectators can look forward to a drumming show; between the passing of the Medium and Short routes, Václav Square will host a skipping rope performance. There’ll also be a creative workshop for children. Grilled food – a staple at most fan points – will be served at Poteplí.
In Bratronice, where the peloton will pass on both the Long and Medium routes, a bouncy castle will be available for children. Družec will host a trial show and a concert by Miroslav Novotný's dance orchestra. In Žilina, where riders will compete for the green jersey at the sprint premium, the programme will again be hosted near the pond.
As the cyclists on the Long Route pass through Nový Dům, fans can enjoy a barbecue, a concert by the band Smečka, and street painting, with a “Welcome Summer” children’s programme also taking place. In Roztoky near Křivoklát, on the gruelling section known as Štyby's Revenge, spectators will pass the time with a barbecue, and the fan point will be decorated with artwork from local primary school children.
Special Guests and Activities
At the Sýkořice fan point near Khulna café, situated on a climbers' segment, fans can look forward to an autograph signing with Bradley Wiggins, winner of the 2012 Tour de France, who will be riding in the peloton of the L'Etape Czech Republic. While waiting for his arrival, children can enjoy balance bike and bicycle races, cycling-themed competitions, face painting, fan sign making, and more. Adults can take part in a grand tombola. The fan point will be beautifully decorated with creations from nursery and primary schools in Běleč, Újezd nad Zbečnem, and Zbečno, with special decorations by artist Patrik Saudek.
In Běleč, sausages will be roasted over an open fire and spinning bikes will be available for trial rides. Chyňava will offer large-scale barbecuing and a display of fire-fighting equipment. In Železná, there will be competitions for balance bikes and bicycles. Nenačovice will have a bouncy castle and a sports trail for children near the village shop.
The Grand Experience at Strahov
Strahov, where the Long Route starts at noon and is followed by the Medium and Short Route riders, will be hosting the race village for the last time for a while, due to upcoming renovations. It’s a historic venue for Czech cycling – in 1981, it hosted the World Championships – and not to be missed.
On Saturday, 21st June, visitors can look forward to the L'Etape Village, the EXPO partner zone, and the Kubík Tourfor children. Across eleven stations, preschoolers and children up to 12 years old can complete challenges and receive medals and gifts from race partners as rewards. At 10am, the Kubík Family Ride kicks off – children from the age of five, accompanied by their parents, can take part in a non-competitive loop just under six kilometres long. The ride will take place with full safety measures, just like the main race.
Don’t hesitate – come and soak up the atmosphere at one of the fan points during the country’s biggest amateur cycling race and become part of an event under the prestigious banner of the Tour de France!
