HOW TO FILL IN A CHECK-IN FORM FOR THE 2026 HILLY STAGE
With just over a month remaining until the start of the Hilly L'Etape Czech Republic by Tour de France 2026, it’s time for all participants to complete a few additional details related to their race participation.
To do this, everyone who registers for the race by 11 May will receive a unique link in their inbox redirecting them to the CHECK-IN 2026 form. These links will be sent out during Monday 11 May and Tuesday 12 May.
Riders registering on or after 11 May will already have the check-in form included directly in the registration process.
IMPORTANT: If you want to be correctly placed on the старт grid, or if you would like your Race Pack delivered to a selected Decathlon store, you must complete the check-in form or your race registration no later than Sunday 17 May at midnight!
STEP 1 – DETAILS RECAP & RACE INFORMATION
Checking the information entered during registration
In the first part of this step, every participant can review the information entered during registration and correct it if necessary. However, the rider’s first name, surname, and selected route cannot be changed!
STEP 2 – SELECTION OF BASIC SERVICES
Collecting your Race Pack
In the very first question, you can choose how you would like to collect your Race Pack. This year, we have partnered with selected Decathlon stores where you can have your pack delivered FREE OF CHARGE!
What’s more, as a reward for visiting the store, you will receive a CZK 100 voucher which can be used towards purchases in-store.
Race Packs will be available for collection in stores from 6 to 15 June.
And what happens if you choose delivery to Decathlon but, for whatever reason, you do not manage to collect your pack? It will be returned to us and you can collect it on Friday 19 or Saturday 20 June in the L’Etape Village at registration. This is the second option offered in the check-in form during this step.
Pasta Party meal selection
This year’s Pasta Party at the Hilly Stage will be provided by Spaghetti Parmigiano. Participants from last year’s Mountain Stage already know this is an outstanding concept where pasta is prepared directly inside wheels of Parmesan cheese. There will be a choice of three meat options and one vegetarian option. Lunch can be collected after the race in the large dining tent.
Expected average speed during the race
The next question asks for your expected average speed. For riders who did not participate in previous editions, this will be one of the parameters used for correct start grid placement. Riders who have taken part before will be seeded according to their previous results and the time they completed their registration.
Special competition categories
This year once again features two bonus competition categories. HEROES for bicycles manufactured before 1993, and GRUPPETTO for everyone who wants to enjoy the Medium Route at a more relaxed pace and only race for the sprint classification and the green jersey!
Race strategy profile
The final question in this step asks about your race strategy. Will you be racing hard and aiming “for position”, or are you more of a leisure rider taking it “easy”? This information also affects your race number allocation. Competitive riders will receive lower numbers (towards the front of the start grid), while leisure riders will receive higher numbers (in the second half of the start grid).
STEP 3 – WILD CARDS & DONATION TO THE KRÁSA POMOCI FOUNDATION
Last year, we partnered with the Krása pomoci Foundation, whose mission is to help senior citizens enjoy a dignified old age. This would not be possible without financial support from both small and large donors. The entire amount raised will be transferred to the foundation after the race.
Every rider can contribute and may choose from two options:
- Purchase a Wild Card, granting access to the first start wave! The price is CZK 500 and only 30 Wild Cards are available for each route.
- Make a voluntary donation by entering any amount into the relevant field, which will automatically be added to the final payment at the end of the process.
On behalf of both ourselves and the Krása pomoci Foundation, thank you in advance for all contributions!
STEP 4 – ADDITIONAL SERVICES
None of these services are mandatory, but each can elevate your race experience to the next level.
Parking at Arkády Pankrác Shopping Centre
Thanks to our partnership with Arkády Shopping Centre, free parking is available for race participants. Due to the limited capacity of 400 spaces, parking must be reserved in advance via the check-in form!
Please note that the maximum vehicle height for the car park is 1.9 metres, making it unsuitable for participants transporting bicycles on roof racks.
Physio Rehab Zone & Reboots Recovery
As in previous years, the L’Etape Village will once again feature the Physio Rehab Zone. Entry includes a 15–20 minute sports massage, taping, and consultation with physiotherapists.
After the race, you can also book premium recovery sessions in the form of a 30-minute massage using Reboots recovery trousers.
STEP 5 – OFFICIAL MERCHANDISE
In the next step, you can perfect your style with our designer merchandise collection. Whether it’s T-shirts, caps, hoodies, or our stylish (and ultra-lightweight) water bottles. Please note that ordered merchandise will not be shipped and must be collected from the Fan Shop in the L’Etape Village at Strahov during race weekend.
STEP 6 – ENTER THE DRAW TO WIN A VAN RYSEL RCR BIKE
A unique opportunity for all race participants to win an outstanding VAN RYSEL RCR road bike worth more than CZK 120,000, configured to your own specification.
The rules are simple:
- Be a registered race participant, and
- Enter your unique Decathlon loyalty programme customer number into the relevant field in the check-in form (you can create one on their website in just two minutes…).
Then all that’s left is to wait for the end of Saturday’s programme, when the draw of race numbers will take place in the L’Etape Village. Maybe luck will smile on you!
COMPLETION, PAYMENT & RIDER CARD UPDATE
If you do not purchase anything during the check-in process, there will be nothing to pay and the process will be completed immediately. Otherwise, the system will prompt you to make payment via the payment gateway.
If you have already downloaded the Rider Card we issued immediately after your registration, the information entered in the check-in form will automatically update there. If you have not yet downloaded it, use the link or displayed QR code to do so. You’ll find it useful.
