7 + 1 reasons to experience L'Etape Czech Republic by Tour de France

Seven is a lucky number. The start list for L'Etape Czech Republic by Tour de France 2022 is filling up fast, but at the same time there are still places available for cycling lovers who are undecided and struggling with uncertainty about whether it's right to sign up. We've picked out seven reasons why you shouldn't miss the start on 11 June 2022 in Prague's Strahov. And we've added a bonus one in case those seven don't convince you.

1. CLOSED RACE ROaDS

This is no illusion or empty advertising slogan. L'Etape Czech Republic by Tour de France is really held on closed roads without cars, trucks or motorcyclists. Just you and your bike. Behind the peloton, or rather all the riders, there is a collection vehicle. And the race average, set at 24 kilometers per hour for the Long route (22 kilometers per hour for the Short route), is manageable for any cyclist with even a little training.

2. MEASURING WITH LEGENDS

Where else can you measure yourself against a three-time Olympic champion (Martina Sáblíková), a stage winner of the Tour de France or the Strade Bianche classics (Zdeněk Štybar), the king of the Cape Epic, the Tour de France bike race (Kristian Hynek), the winner of three stages of the Tour de France (Ján Svorada) and many other famous names of the cycling world? And that you hardly meet them on the route when you spend half the time training as all of the above mentioned? You definitely get a realistic idea of what bombs they ride and how much hard work it takes to get in medal shape.

3. UNIQUE ATMOSPHERE

More than seventeen hundred cyclists registered for the first edition. And the big majority of them finished the race excited by the atmosphere and the spectator scenery accompanying the battle for the yellow jersey, which will actually go to the champion of the Czech version of the famous race. As well as the green jersey for the winner of the sprinter's competition and the polka dot one for the best climber. Even Martina Sáblíková, the queen of speed skating ovals, was literally blown away by the backdrop of L'Etape Czech Republic by Tour de France 2021.

4. BECAUSE MY FRIENDS WENT AND THEY WERE EXCITED

Try searching around to see if you can find a participant in L'Etape Czech Republic by Tour de France 2021. And you can bet they'll say, "It was a great time, I'm going again."

5. NOTHING HAPPENS AND BEING PART OF THE PACK IS IN

Normally, the football World Cup in Qatar would probably start on 11 June. But because the world has gone a bit crazy, the championship will be played in late November/early December. The 2022 Tour de France won't start for another three weeks, the 2022 Italian Giro will be a thing of the past and being part of L'Etape Czech Republic by Tour de France is just cool!

6. BECAUSE KŘIVOKLÁT

It's a bit of a cliché, but anyone who hasn't cycled around Křivoklát Castle doesn't know what cycling is. It's not some well-kept area, where granite cobblestones are neatly placed. Here we are talking about a real pavé, where the burden of passenger and freight traffic has taken its toll. There are asphalt patches in places. And when better to climb this hill than during a road closure! (Photo source: www.kudyznudy.cz).

7. MOTIVATION IN THE FIGHT AGAINST COVID

Everyone thought the fight against the pandemic was already won. And it's not... Physical activity is one of the core pillars of health. The prospect of taking part in a race that is impossible to start without training is a great motivation to play sports during the winter months. So, if you sign up for L'Etape Czech Republic by Tour de France 2022, you'll be boosting your immunity by training, and you'll still be really pumped up for the rigours of the route.

BONUS - TRAVEL TO TO TOUR DE FRANCE 2022

This is no cheap joke. If you don't delay your registration for L'Etape Czech Republic by Tour de France, you could easily win a trip to the real Tour de France, where the Škoda Auto hospitality programme includes a ride with the king of the Grande Boucle, Andy Schleck, or a flight over the Old Lady's peloton in a helicopter.
